Glass Carp are a naturally occurring mutation of the standard Common / Mirrror Carp lacking the silver pigment (melanin) in their skin. This gives them a semi-transparent or "glass-like" appearance as juveniles. However they often turn jet-black or dark purple as they mature, especially in clear water. They tend to grow slightly slower than standard common or mirror carp but can still reach weights exceeding 30–40 lbs.
A stunning addition to any pond of fishery.
