Perch are handsomely striped predatory fish with vivid orange fins and plenty of attitude. Commonly found in UK stillwaters, canals and rivers they will adapt to most environments in the UK. However Perch do need good oxygen levels and relatively cool water. Although a larger Perch would be 12-18 inches long they are voracious predators so should not be mixed with smaller fish in ornamental pond environments.
